What has been the biggest accomplishment in your career so far?
When reflecting on my business career thus far, I believe my most significant accomplishment is yet to come. Pursuing studies at CEIBS represents a pivotal step towards achieving my professional objectives. CEIBS not only provides the necessary preparation and networking opportunities to accomplish meaningful goals but also fosters a mindset geared towards tackling diverse challenges and situations with excellence. I see it as a platform for not just doing something good but for striving towards greatness.
When you think of CEIBS, what is the first word that comes to mind?
When I think of CEIBS, the first word that comes to mind is “Excellence.” This word resonates deeply with me because CEIBS is renowned for its commitment to excellence in education, leadership development, and networking opportunities. It is not only recognized as the best MBA program in Asia but also continually strives to maintain its high reputation by providing top-tier resources, faculty, and an extensive network of talented and successful alumni. The rigorous selection process ensures that students entering CEIBS are of the highest caliber, further contributing to the culture of excellence within the institution.
What are one or two key aspects of this program that led you to choose CEIBS, and why were they so important to you?
The diversity of CEIBS, from professors to students, provides a global perspective with a Chinese viewpoint. As an overseas Chinese born in Italy, I see myself as a bridge between cultures. CEIBS’ motto, “China Depth, Global Breadth,” perfectly embodies this ethos. Given China’s status as the world’s second-largest economy, understanding its business landscape and forging valuable connections is crucial. CEIBS offers the ideal platform to leverage these opportunities and build bridges between China and the world.
What course, club, activity, or experience at CEIBS excites you the most and why?
The prospect of engaging with professors, peers, and alumni at CEIBS excites me the most. It’s a convergence of professional expertise and talent in one dynamic environment. These interactions broaden my perspective and equip me to tackle diverse business challenges. Through discussions, debates, and knowledge-sharing, I undergo a continuous learning journey, honing not just my business acumen but also enriching my personal growth.
What is one thing you have recently read, watched, or listened to that you would highly recommend to other prospective CEIBS MBAs?
I recently realized that every aspect of my CEIBS experience, whether it’s classes, case studies, or school events, offers invaluable insights that enrich my understanding. Recommending just one specific thing would be reductive because CEIBS is about the holistic experience. It provides the tools to see the bigger picture and adds value to every student’s journey. Personally, I’ve already noticed significant growth and maturity in just six months. If you’re seeking excellence and aim to become an asset in any professional setting, CEIBS is the ideal place to enhance your skills and discover your true objectives.
What are two things you have learned being at CEIBS that have surprised you so far – one academic and one non-academic?
One academic surprise I encountered at CEIBS was the diversity among the faculty. Despite being in China and attending a Chinese university, I was pleasantly surprised to find a faculty pool comprising individuals from various nationalities, including Malaysian, Canadian, Australian, German, Taiwanese, British, Indian, Iranian, Korean, Ghanaian, Russian, and more. This diverse mix fosters an inclusive and truly international learning environment, enriching our academic experience with different perspectives and insights.
On a non-academic note, I was pleasantly surprised by the strong sense of community and familial atmosphere at CEIBS. There’s a palpable feeling of kinship among CEIBS alumni, characterized by mutual respect and genuine kindness towards one another. This sense of belonging creates a supportive environment akin to a close-knit family, where members readily support and uplift each other.
