Finnair is introducing over 700 Business Class award seats on its Singapore – Helsinki route for next year. These seats can be redeemed for as little as 60,000 miles + S$83 one-way. Previously, there was limited availability for award seats in the Business Class cabin, but Finnair has now adopted a more generous policy, guaranteeing at least eight award seats on its long-haul services to and from Helsinki. This change is in preparation for its integration into the Avios ecosystem early next year. The increased number of award seats will be available for booking from 1 November 2023 onwards for flights departing on or after 1 February 2024. These Business Class awards can be redeemed using programs like Alaska Miles, Avios, Qantas Frequent Flyer, and Asia Miles. Finnair will also guarantee at least two Business Class award seats for redemption on its Singapore flights when they are first loaded into the system, 355 days before departure. The airline operates daily flights between Singapore and Helsinki using Airbus A350s. It is now possible to find plenty of award space in Business Class on Finnair’s Singapore – Helsinki flights throughout the year, with multiple dates offering up to three award seats. This presents a great opportunity for travelers to secure Business Class award tickets to or from Europe. The airline also imposes a small fuel surcharge of EUR15 (~S$22) on award tickets between Helsinki and Asia, which is one of the lowest in the industry.
