Armstrong Teasdale is reducing its office footprint in Europe and the US.
The firm confirmed on Friday that it is terminating its relationship with Armstrong Teasdale Ltd., which provides legal services in London and Dublin. It is also shutting down offices in Boston and Salt Lake City, Utah.
“Decisions like these are part of a broader strategy to position our team to continue exceeding our clients’ expectations in a highly competitive legal market,” said an Armstrong Teasdale spokesperson via email.
The closure of the Boston office comes at a time of increased activity in the city, with Big Law firms expanding to tap into healthcare and technology deals. The firm recently saw a four-partner team in Utah join Dentons.
Both the Boston and Salt Lake City offices will remain open until Sept. 30. After that, one lawyer in Salt Lake City and 10 in Boston will be required to seek new employment opportunities, according to the firm.
In the coming months, Armstrong Teasdale is expected to no longer have a physical presence in the UK or Europe. The firm intends to continue serving international clients by leveraging existing relationships, including with the subsidiary, to ensure a smooth delivery of legal services globally
