WhatsApp Business now offers business owners new AI features that enhance customer engagement and streamline the process of selling products and services through chat. These new features include the ability to create ads with AI assistance that direct users to businesses’ WhatsApp Business accounts for faster communication.
The upcoming AI tools powered by Meta AI Tools, set to be tested in India, Singapore, and later Brazil, aim to promptly address frequently asked questions from customers. By doing so, the goal is to provide customers with quicker responses compared to traditional customer service interactions.
The focus of these new AI features is primarily on smaller businesses, particularly in emerging markets, that rely on WhatsApp Business as their primary platform for sales and customer communication. The consumer versions of the messaging app already incorporate AI functionality.
Behind the scenes, these AI features leverage insights from Meta’s well-known Llama models.
Creating linked ads
Meta is rolling out another feature for WhatsApp Business that allows businesses to use AI to create ads for Facebook and Instagram, linking directly to a chat on WhatsApp Business with the respective company. These ads are commonly referred to as click-to-message ads.
This feature is currently undergoing testing in the United States and Singapore.
Directly calling companies and Verified Guarantee
Moreover, WhatsApp Business now enables users to initiate calls to larger companies with a single tap within the messaging app. Additionally, WhatsApp Verified certification, which confirms the legitimacy of a business, is now available in Brazil, India, Indonesia, and Colombia.
