British Airways is set to resume its scheduled services from London Stansted airport next summer, marking the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic.
The UK carrier’s BA Cityflyer short-haul subsidiary will operate flights from Stansted to Florence, Ibiza and Nice starting from 18 May 2024. These routes will be serviced once a week, with departures from Stansted on Sundays and return flights on Saturdays.
BA Cityflyer currently offers services from London City airport to 30 destinations and will utilize Embraer 190 aircraft for its new Stansted routes. The airline will provide both economy and Club Europe business class cabins on these new services.
With the reintroduction of services from Stansted, BA will operate from four London airports in 2024, including its main hub at Heathrow.
Furthermore, the airline has revealed a new route from London Gatwick to Agadir in Morocco, which is set to commence on 31 March 2024. Initially, the service will run three times per week on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, with an additional service on Saturdays starting from 25 May. This will be BA’s second Moroccan destination as the carrier already operates flights to Marrakech.
Additionally, BA has announced plans to open a new lounge at Miami International airport, which is expected to be unveiled in the first half of 2025.
