This is one of the cheapest award sales ever. Air France KLM’s Flying Blue, which is a transfer partner of all of the major bank currencies, is offering transatlantic business class awards starting at 13,500 points each way.
- To and from Canada: Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa
- Zagreb, Croatia appears to be the cheapest destination at 13,500 miles, but others have amazing pricing like Athens at 16,500 each way
- Expect to pay around $250 taxes and fees each way
- Generally available through May, but any dates you find saver award space should price this way – while it lasts.

Normally you might have to hunt and peck for availability day by day but there’s a trick to see Flying Blue’s hidden award calendar showing a month of availability at a time.
You can check other cities as well, but these are the ones with the best reported pricing. In theory you should be able to call and book a stopover by phone for no additional miles (partner airlines raise the price.)
Book quickly. And you may wish to wait a few days before making additional plans, in case Flying Blue gets “seller’s remorse” about these redemptions.
