These European towns are seeking new residents and are offering financial incentives to help you make the move. Several small cities across Europe have grant programs in place for potential residents. Business Insider has compiled a list of European towns that will pay people to relocate.
If the high cost of living or political climate in the United States has become overwhelming, there are European countries willing to welcome new residents with monetary incentives. Regions in Italy and cities in Croatia are offering cash incentives of up to $32,000 to attract new residents.
While these programs may not place you in the most popular or populous parts of the country, they offer the opportunity to live in picturesque locations and experience a new way of life. For example, Tuscany created a $3 million fund to encourage people to move to the countryside and help restore neglected homes.
Other European programs that offer cash incentives to movers include those in Albinen, Switzerland; Antikythera, Greece; Legrad, Croatia; Ponga, Spain; and Tuscany, Italy. These programs aim to combat depopulation and revitalize local economies by attracting new residents.
